Ingredients
- 5 medium onions
- 5 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 5 c. water
- 6 bouillon cubes (beef)
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- croutons (optional)
- grated cheese (optional)
Method
- Fry onions in butter over medium heat, covering to retain moisture, until tender.
- Add water, Worcestershire sauce and bouillon cubes.
- Simmer, covered, for approximately 20 minutes.
