Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 1 egg
Method
- Mix water and yeast together and set for 15 minutes.
- Add sugar, salt, oleo and egg; mix well.
- Add enough flour to make a smooth batter.
- Add 1/2 of flour at a time, until all of the flour is used, making a stiff dough (more flour can be added if needed). Pour dough out on a well floured board and knead until small blisters under surface of dough.
- Place dough in a greased bowl to rise.
- Cover with towel, let rise to double in size, 30 to 40 minutes.
