Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 c. uncooked macaroni
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. catsup
  • 1 (7 oz.) can whole kernel corn (undrained)
  • 1 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder

Method

  • Crumble ground beef into 2-quart glass casserole.
  • Stir in onion.
  • Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap.
  • Microwave on High for 3 minutes.
  • Drain and stir in remaining ingredients; re-cover. Microwave on Defrost for 30 to 35 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
  • Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving.
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.
