Ingredients
- 1 c. oil
- 6 Tbsp. cocoa
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Method
- Put oil in a bowl.
- Stir in cocoa, eggs, sugar, Karo and vanilla.
- Mix flour, baking powder and salt together; add to cocoa mixture.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into greased 8 x 12-inch pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. If a glass pan is used, bake at 325°.
- They are chewer if not overbeaten or overbaked.
