- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cans (6 oz. each) or 1 can (12 oz.) tomato paste
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, undrained
- 12 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
- 1 can (4 1/2 oz.) sliced ripe olives
- grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- In a skillet, brown beef; add onion and garlic and cook until transparent; drain.
- Stir in tomato paste, water, seasonings and mushrooms.
- Simmer uncovered 15 to 20 minutes, or until sauce reaches desired consistency; stir occasionally.
- On heated serving platter, toss hot spaghetti with olives; pour sauce over.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
