Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 3 Tbsp. dark Karo syrup or molasses
- 1 to 2 tsp. water
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- In small
- bowl,
- mix
- syrup and water.
- Separately, mix flour, salt,
- pepper and oregano.
- First, dip chicken in syrup mixture, then
- in
- flour
- mixture.
- In
- deep
- skillet, pour in large amount
- of oil.
- (Oil should cover chicken 1/2 way up.) Fry
- until brown;
- turn
- and brown other side (2 to 4 minutes each side). Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 30 minutes.
