Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
- 3 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1 baked pie shell
Method
- In a mixing bowl, sift cocoa, flour and salt together. Separate eggs.
- Beat egg yolks into cup of milk.
- In a large iron skillet, melt margarine.
- Add flour mixture and slowly pour beaten egg yolks and milk, stirring constantly.
- (Use low heat.)
- Cook until mixture is thick and fudge like.
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla and pour into baked pie shell.
- Beat egg whites using 2 to 3 teaspoons sugar until stiff.
- Pour over pie and bake until golden in color.
