Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 c. coarsely chopped white chocolate
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped almonds

Method

  • In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour and soda.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large mixer bowl, beat margarine with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  • Add sugars; beat until fluffy.
  • Add egg; beat well.
  • Add flour mixture; beat until well mixed.
  • Stir in oats, white chocolate and almonds.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
  • Bake in a 375° oven for 10 minutes or until done.
  • Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute; remove and cool on a wire rack.
  • Makes 38 cookies.
