- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 green onion, sliced thinly (not needed until day of prep)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (not needed until day of prep)
Method
- Combine all ingredients & freeze. Thaw overnight (bag in bowl in refrigerator).
- Cook in slow cooker on low for four hours.
- Remove meat, shred & return to crockpot for another 30 minutes.
- Garnish with green onion & sesame seeds. Serve w/ brown rice & broccoli.
