Ingredients

  • 1 bag Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
  • 1 jar hot fudge or caramel topping
  • 1 c. Spanish or regular peanuts
  • 1/4 c. butter/margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

Method

  • Crush 42 Oreo cookies fine in blender.
  • Mix together with melted butter and spread in the bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Soften vanilla ice cream.
  • Spread on top of Oreo mixture.
  • Freeze until solid.
  • When firm, remove from freezer and spread hot fudge or caramel topping.
  • Add crushed Spanish peanuts or regular peanuts on top of fudge/caramel topping.
  • Spread softened Cool Whip and sprinkle a little of the crushed Oreos on top of Cool Whip.
