Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 6 large marshmallows
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 2 1/2 c. nuts

Method

  • Combine sugar, water, corn syrup and salt in saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cook until mixture reaches 230° or just before the soft ball stage.
  • Add marshmallows; stir until melted.
  • Add vanilla flavoring and 2 1/2 cups of nuts.
  • Stir until mixture starts to lose its shine and hardens slightly.
  • Quickly turn out on wax paper.
  • Separate into individual pieces.
  • Cool.
