Ingredients
- 1 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 4 oz. sq. baking chocolate
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Mix water, margarine and chocolate in a large heavy saucepan. Heat until chocolate is melted.
- Take from heat and add sugar, eggs and sour cream, mixing with a spoon.
- Sift in flour, soda and salt.
- Mix well with a spoon.
- Do not overbeat.
- Stir in vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan in 350° oven for about 35 minutes.
- Test to see if top springs back when touched with your finger.
- Do not overbake.
