Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine (see note)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 to 2 c. flour (see note)

Method

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, margarine and baking soda; beat with an electric mixer until well combined.
  • Add butter flavoring and vinegar; combine thoroughly.
  • While mixer is running, add flour, a little at a time, stopping mixer often to scrape down sides of bowl.
  • Mix until dough is creamy.
