Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. quick cook oats
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- dash of salt
Method
- Boil shortening, sugar, milk, cocoa, salt and vanilla for around 1 minute.
- Remove from heat.
- Add oats and peanut butter and stir well.
- (If you let mixture overcook it will turn hard too fast to drop on waxed paper.)
- Drop on waxed paper and flatten into round cakes.
