Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 c. milk
  • 3 cans minced clams
  • 3 cans whole clams
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 2 cans potatoes, diced and drained
  • 1 large onion, diced and softened in microwave
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 to 2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 8 to 10 oz. sour cream

Method

  • In large pot melt the margarine with the seasoned salt and flour until bubbly.
  • Slowly add the milk and stir until smooth and thick.
  • Add the clams with liquid.
  • Add grated carrots, drained and diced potatoes and onion.
  • Add parsley and seasonings.
  • Add sour cream and stir hard.
  • Simmer 1 hour.
  • Can be frozen.
  • Can add milk if too thick.
