- 1/2 c. margarine or butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 c. milk
- 3 cans minced clams
- 3 cans whole clams
- 2 medium carrots, grated
- 2 cans potatoes, diced and drained
- 1 large onion, diced and softened in microwave
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 to 2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 8 to 10 oz. sour cream
Method
- In large pot melt the margarine with the seasoned salt and flour until bubbly.
- Slowly add the milk and stir until smooth and thick.
- Add the clams with liquid.
- Add grated carrots, drained and diced potatoes and onion.
- Add parsley and seasonings.
- Add sour cream and stir hard.
- Simmer 1 hour.
- Can be frozen.
- Can add milk if too thick.
