Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 small jar (5 1/2 to 7 oz.) marshmallow cream
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Cook sugar, milk and margarine.
  • Bring to a boil and time for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off heat.
  • Add chocolate chips until melted; beat for about 15 minutes.
  • Add marshmallow cream, vanilla and nuts.
  • Beat for 10 minutes more.
  • Pour into a greased 13 x 9- inch pan.
  • Let cool and cut.
  • Yields 4 pounds.
