Ingredients
- 2 c. White Lily self-rising flour
- Crisco shortening (the size of a large hen egg)
- 1 c. buttermilk
Method
- Cut shortening into flour with a fork.
- Add buttermilk. Blend together just until moistened.
- (DO NOT OVERBEAT.)
- Pat out on floured cloth; cut into 2-inch rounds.
- Bake at 425° for 5 to 8 minutes.
