Ingredients
- 2 lb. navy beans, soak overnight
- 1 1/2 lb. smoked ham hock
- 4 qt. water
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Saute onion and butter.
- Cook until tender, not mushy, the beans, ham and water.
- Add sauteed onion and butter.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
