Ingredients

  • 500 grams Sweet potatoes
  • 250 grams Candied chestnuts (Weight of chestnuts)
  • 3/4 cup Candied chestnut syrup
  • 1 dash Salt

Method

  • Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1.5 cm semi-circular shapes.
  • Then put them in water.
  • Steam the sweet potatoes until soft.
  • When you can easily pierce them with a skewer, they're done.
  • Mash the steamed potatoes with a masher, then strain until smooth.
  • Put the strained sweet potato in a pan.
  • Turn on the heat, add the salt and the candied chestnut syrup, and stir over low heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, add in the candied chestnuts, and mix well.
  • Once it has chilled, it's ready.
