Ingredients
- 2 round steaks, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 tsp. cooking oil
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 can Campbell's consomme soup
- 1 Tbsp. caraway seed
- 4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
Method
- Melt margarine in skillet.
- Brown meat on both sides in the margarine.
- Sprinkle onion over meat in skillet.
- Pour undiluted soup over meat and onion and add caraway seed.
- Cover with skillet lid and simmer for 2 hours over very low heat.
- Just before serving, add mushrooms, sour cream and wine and stir to mix. Serve over noodles or rice.
- Serves about 6 to 8.
