Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans green beans, drained
  • pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp; remove bacon, reserving 3 tablespoons of drippings in skillet.
  • Crumble bacon and set aside.
  • Add mushrooms and onion to drippings in skillet. Saute until onion is tender.
  • Add beans and pepper, cooking until thoroughly heated.
  • Place in serving dish and top with crumbled bacon.
