- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine or butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/4 c. fudge sauce or fudge ice cream topping
- 1 c. chilled whipping cream
- 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
Method
- Heat oven to 325°.
- Grease a round 8-inch pan or pie plate with shortening.
- Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, salt, flour, eggs and cocoa in a medium bowl with wooden spoon.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake until wooden pick inserted comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
- Immediately prick holes in pie with pick; spread fudge sauce over top.
- Cool completely. Beat the whipping cream and powdered sugar
- in a small bowl until stiff. Drizzle fudge sauce on top.
- Store in refrigerator.
