Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/2 gal. softened ice cream (traditionally coffee flavored)
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3 oz. Hershey's unsweetened chocolate
  • dash of salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • chopped nuts (peanuts or pecans)

Method

  • Crush Oreo cookies and melted butter in a food processor and place in a
  • 9 x 13-inch pan. Smooth ice cream over crushed cookies, then freeze.
  • Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate together.
  • Add a dash of salt, sugar and milk.
  • Cook for 4 minutes.
  • Cool and spread over ice cream.
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top, then freeze again.
  • Serve.
