Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Oreo cookies
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/2 gal. softened ice cream (traditionally coffee flavored)
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3 oz. Hershey's unsweetened chocolate
- dash of salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- chopped nuts (peanuts or pecans)
Method
- Crush Oreo cookies and melted butter in a food processor and place in a
- 9 x 13-inch pan. Smooth ice cream over crushed cookies, then freeze.
- Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate together.
- Add a dash of salt, sugar and milk.
- Cook for 4 minutes.
- Cool and spread over ice cream.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over the top, then freeze again.
- Serve.
