Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping tablespoons)
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 pie crust, cooked
Method
- Mix sugar, flour and cocoa together.
- In separate bowl, beat milk and egg yolks together; strain.
- Mix all ingredients and cook in double boiler or heavy sauce pan until very thick.
- Pour into cooked pie crust.
- Dot with butter.
- Beat egg whites until fluffy. Add 4 Tbsp. sugar and beat until stiff peaks.
- Pour over pie and brown in preheated 350° oven until lightly browned.
