Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp. white Karo syrup
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 1/2 c. oats
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds

Method

  • Cream together margarine, brown sugar and water.
  • Add eggs, peanut butter, vanilla and syrup; mix well.
  • Stir baking soda into oats.
  • Add to creamed mixture.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop mixture by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 325° for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Makes 80 cookies!
