Ingredients
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. warm water
- 1 c. melted shortening
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 6 c. flour
- 2 sticks butter, melted
Method
- Mix all but flour and melted butter.
- This makes 2 pans.
- Make a well in the 6 cups flour.
- Add first mixture.
- Turn dough onto floured surface.
- Knead until smooth and shiny.
- Let rise in warm place until double.
