Ingredients

  • 1 ready made pie crust
  • 1 pt. strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 pt. whipping cream

Method

  • Prepare pie crust according to directions; set aside to cool. Slice enough fresh berries to line bottom of pie shell.
  • Save several berries with hulls on for garnish.
  • Cut remaining berries into a saucepan; add sugar and cook on medium heat.
  • Stir.
  • Put cornstarch in small bowl; add some liquid from saucepan.
  • Stir until well mixed and return to saucepan.
  • Stir until mixture thickens and pour into pie shell.
  • Cool.
  • Cover with whipped cream.
  • Garnish with whole berries.
  • Refrigerate any leftovers.
