Ingredients
- 1 ready made pie crust
- 1 pt. strawberries, hulled
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 pt. whipping cream
Method
- Prepare pie crust according to directions; set aside to cool. Slice enough fresh berries to line bottom of pie shell.
- Save several berries with hulls on for garnish.
- Cut remaining berries into a saucepan; add sugar and cook on medium heat.
- Stir.
- Put cornstarch in small bowl; add some liquid from saucepan.
- Stir until well mixed and return to saucepan.
- Stir until mixture thickens and pour into pie shell.
- Cool.
- Cover with whipped cream.
- Garnish with whole berries.
- Refrigerate any leftovers.
