Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked pie shell
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 12 - pecan halves

Method

  • Put eggs, sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter & vanilla in blender and blend well.
  • Add 1 c pecans and blend just enough to chop nuts coarsely.
  • Pour into pie shell, place pecan halves on top.
  • Bake in hot oven (425 degrees) 15 minutes; reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking until top is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
