Ingredients
- 1 lb butter
- 3 cup sugar
- 6 eggs
- 4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- preheat oven to 300F
- beat 1 lb butter in a bowl with an electric mixer
- gradually add sugar, beating well @ medium speed
- add eggs 1 @ a time beating thoroughly after each addition
- add flour to butter mix, alternate with milk
- begin & end with flour.
- mix until just blend after each addition
- stir in extracts.
- pour batter into greased & floured 10" tube pan.
- bake @ 300F for 1 hr & 40 min or until toothpick comes out clean
- cool cake in pan 10-15 minutes.
- remove from pan & let cool completely on wire rack.
