Ingredients
- 4 Milky Way candy bars
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Melt candy with 1 stick of margarine in double boiler.
- Set aside.
- Cream sugar with 1 stick of margarine.
- Add eggs; beat until fluffy.
- Combine flour, salt and soda.
- Add buttermilk alternately with flour mixture.
- Beat well after each.
- Add nuts, vanilla and melted candy.
- Pour into 10 or 12-inch greased and floured tube pan.
- Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or longer, if needed.
