Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef round steak, tenderized
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (undrained)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, diced
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

Method

  • Cut steak into strips, trimming fat; salt and pepper to taste. Coat with flour; place in 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Pour mushrooms, onion, green pepper and tomato sauce over steak.
  • Cover and cook on Medium for 45 minutes or until meat is tender, stirring once.
  • Yield: 8 servings.
