Ingredients

  • 1 block Silken tofu
  • 100 grams Ground pork
  • 1/2 Japanese leek
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1/2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 50 ml Chicken stock

Method

  • Cut the ground pork and Japanese leek into small pieces.
  • Grate the ginger.
  • Combine in a bowl.
  • Add the seasonings and mix.
  • Using a spoon, scoop the tofu into a heatproof dish.
  • Arrange so that they do not overlap.
  • Pour Step 2 over the tofu.
  • Rather than piling it up high, spread the ingredients out so that it heats evenly.
  • Wrap with plastic wrap and microwave for 7 minutes.
  • Use chopsticks to open a space in the middle and check to see if there's any red left to the meat.
  • It's ready when the centers have cooked through.
  • Transfer to dishes, breaking up the meat portion with the chopsticks.
  • If the meat is still red, heat some more while keeping an eye on it.
  • If you like it spicy, add some doubanjiang or ra-yu.
