Ingredients
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. light corn syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 qt. (16 c.) popped popcorn
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Method
- Place popped corn in a large grocery bag.
- Combine oleo, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a large glass pitcher.
- Bring to boil on Full Power.
- Boil 2 minutes.
- Stir in baking soda.
- Pour syrup over popcorn in bag.
- Close bag and shake vigorously.
- Place bag in microwave.
- Cook on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Remove and shake again.
- Return to oven for 1 1/2 minutes.
- Remove and shake again.
- Return to oven for 1 minute.
- Remove and pour on cookie sheet.
- Let cool.
