Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 to 3 heaping Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa

Method

  • Mix cocoa in sugar; add milk and Karo.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally to soft ball stage.
  • Take off heat; add margarine and cool until pan can be held.
  • Add vanilla; beat the fudge until it starts to hold shape in pan for 15 seconds and fudge loses glossiness.
  • Pour in buttered plate; score and cut in small squares.
