- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 small can diced green chilies
- 1 can Ro-Tel or 1 to 1 1/2 c. other salsa
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- tortilla chips
- grated Cheddar cheese
Method
- In skillet, brown meat.
- Drain and crumble.
- Add onion, soup (not water), green chilies and Ro-Tel or salsa.
- Heat thoroughly and simmer.
- In 9 x 13-inch pan, place layer of tortilla chips and cheese.
- Pour meat filling mixture over chips and cheese.
- Place another layer of chips; top with grated cheese.
- Bake at 400° until cheese melts on top.
- Serve with side dish of corn, beans, etc.
