Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger or chicken, cooked and cut bite size
  • 1 c. onion
  • 1 can diced mild green chilies
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can mild enchilada sauce
  • 1 lb. grated cheese
  • 1 pkg. corn or flour tortillas
  • sour cream (if desired)

Method

  • Cook meat; drain.
  • Add onion and cook until tender.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix all cans together; set aside.
  • Cut tortillas in 4ths. Layer in casserole, tortillas, meat, sauce and cheese several times.
  • Cook at 350° until bubbly and hot.
  • Let set about 10 minutes.
  • Serve with sour cream, salad, refried beans, chips and dip.
  • Even better the second day! Great doubled or tripled.
