Ingredients
- Pepperidge Farm rye bread rounds
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. snipped parsley
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
Method
- Toast bread on both sides lightly.
- Combine mayonnaise, onions and parsley.
- Spread on toast.
- Cut out round of Swiss cheese to fit on toast.
- Broil until cheese melts.
- You can add a slice of a ripe black olive on top for decoration after broiling.
- Makes about 12 to 15 canapes.
