Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Method
- Add sugar gradually to beaten egg whites (stiff, but not too dry).
- Also, add cream of tartar.
- Put brown paper on cookie sheet.
- Drop and shape meringue on paper.
- Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 275°.
- Take out and loosen and return to oven for a few minutes longer.
