Ingredients
- 3 egg whites, room temperature
- 1 tsp. vanilla (add to egg whites)
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar (add to egg whites)
- dash of salt
- 1 c. sugar
Method
- Whip first 4 ingredients together gradually adding in sugar. Beat with mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Using an ice cream scoop, place meringue balls 1 inch apart on parchment paper on cookie sheet.
- Using the back of ice cream scoop, make an indent, making the meringue resemble nests.
- Bake in 275° oven for 1 hour.
- Turn off oven and let dry in oven.
- Serve nest with one scoop of raspberry sherbet in nest with fresh fruit sprinkled over.
