Ingredients
- 2 c. rice (uncooked)
- 2 extra large potatoes, grated
- 1 large onion, chopped and sauteed
- 1 large head cabbage
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cook rice until soft.
- Add grated potatoes and onion to rice. Mix well.
- Parboil cabbage head.
- Let steam until soft enough to work with.
- Cut out core and separate leaves.
- Put rice mixture in cabbage leaf.
- Roll up tucking in ends as you roll.
- Place in shallow pot or Dutch oven.
- Cover with any leftover leaves.
- Add tomato sauce or tomato soup.
- Cook on medium heat about 1 hour or more until cabbage is done.
