Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 slice bread, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 c. Romano cheese
  • 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese, diced
  • 1 lb. manicotti, parboiled

Method

  • Brown meat, onion and garlic.
  • Spoon off excess fat.
  • Stir in salt, oregano, bread, parsley and 1/4 cup sauce and grated cheese. Cool slightly.
  • Mix in Mozzarella cheese and eggs.
  • Fill parboiled manicotti.
  • Spread some sauce on bottom of baking dish and arrange parboiled manicotti over all.
  • Pour the rest of spaghetti sauce on top.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese before serving.
