Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 2 small pieces garlic
- 1 can sauerkraut
- 1 can tomato soup
Method
- Dip cabbage leaves in hot water until wilted; drain.
- Combine meat, salt, pepper, rice and garlic; mix well.
- Place 2 tablespoons of meat mixture in each cabbage leaf.
- Roll leaf around meat and fasten with toothpick.
- Place sauerkraut in bottom of pan.
- Lay rolls on top.
- Pour tomato soup and tomato paste over all.
- Add enough water to cover.
- Cook slowly for 1 hour at 350°.
