Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 1 1/2 slices Italian bread, cubed
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 small to medium egg
  • 8 single soda crackers, rolled fine
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • Put all ingredients together in a large bowl and mix well. Gather enough meat mixture in hands to form golf-size meat balls. Place meat balls in your own spaghetti sauce, using 1 quart of sauce.
  • Simmer at least 2 hours.
  • If using crock-pot, put on low heat 8 or 9 hours.
  • Makes 16 meat balls.
  • Cook 1/2 pound dry spaghetti.
  • Serves 6.
