Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Mix together brown sugar, margarine, Karo syrup and salt. Microwave on High 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.
  • Remove and stir in soda.
  • Pour over corn in paper bag, stirring or shake it well.
  • Put bag in microwave for 1 minute and heat 15 seconds on High.
  • Take out and shake the bag.
  • Put back in microwave for 1 minute and 15 seconds on High.
  • Take the bag out and shake.
  • Put back in microwave for 30 seconds.
  • Take out and spread on cookie sheets to cool.
