Ingredients

  • 5 large red potatoes
  • 14 cup butter
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 12 cup milk (more or less depending on texture wanted)
  • 12 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • salt and pepper

Method

  • place scrubbed potatoes wrapped loosly in damp paper towel in the microwave -- cook for 3-4 minutes at a time until done .approx 12 mins total -- they are done when a butter knife slides through them easily.
  • while potatoes are cooking place butter in a mixing bowl.
  • when potatoes are done place on top of butter in bowl and chop coarsly using 2 butter knives in a criss cross pattern.
  • add cream cheese, sour cream , dill, salt and pepper to bowl and mash -- add milk in while mashing until desired texture is reached.
