Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz.) jar dill sliced pickles (Vlasic or other brand can be used), drained well
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar (2 2/3 if you prefer sweeter pickles)
  • 1/2 c. vinegar (white)
  • 2 Tbsp. pickling spice, put in cheesecloth is best (can be used loose also)

Method

  • In a large bowl, marinate at room temperature for 24 to 30 hours.
  • Mix occasionally during marinating.
  • Then you can store in jars (whatever size you want).
  • If spices are in cheesecloth, throw them away.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Keeps for weeks.
