Ingredients
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 unbeaten egg yolks
- 1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Combine sugars, cornstarch and salt in heavy saucepan. Blend in sour cream and egg yolks.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat. Add maple flavoring and butter. Chill until spreading consistency.
