Ingredients

  • 4 slices Thick Cut Bacon
  • 1- 1/2 cup Raw Pecans
  • 2- 1/2 Tablespoons Bacon Grease (from Cooked Bacon)
  • 1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Set the slices of bacon on the wire rack and bake for about 15 minutes or until crispy.
  • Carefully pull the pan out of the oven.
  • Reserve bacon grease that has dripped into the foil-lined pan.
  • Set bacon aside.
  • Leave the oven on.
  • Put pecans into a medium-sized bowl and add 2 1/2 tablespoons of bacon grease, maple syrup, ginger and cinnamon.
  • Toss to combine.
  • Spread pecans in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes or until pecans are fragrant, stirring 1-2 times throughout.
  • Remove the pan from the oven.
  • Allow pecans to cool.
  • Crumble the cooked bacon.
  • When everything is cooled, mix bacon in with pecans and serve.
