Ingredients
- 12 oz. pkg. Mueller's elbows
- 12 oz. pkg. Kraft sharp Cheddar cheese
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 6 c. boiling water
- 8 oz. pkg. sour cream (optional)
- pinch of black pepper
Method
- Boil water, add 1 teaspoon salt.
- Add elbows.
- Cook 12 to 15 minutes.
- Remove from stove.
- Drain water.
- Place in 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
- Stir in butter.
- Cut cheese into small cubes and add to macaroni.
- Add milk and stir.
- Add sour cream, if desired. Place in oven at 425° for 10 minutes.
- Take out and stir. Sprinkle pepper on top and place back in oven for 15 to 25 minutes.
- Serves 6 to 8.
