Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c. packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 12 oz. white chocolate, cut into 1/4-inch chunks
  • 1 1/2 c. Macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 c. granulated sugar

Method

  • Position rack in center of oven and preheat oven to 350°. Cover 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
  • In large bowl, beat butter for 30 to 45 seconds with electric mixer; set on low.
  • Butter should be creamy.
  • Gradually add sugars to batter and beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes or until mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well between each addition.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Using wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture.
  • Add chocolate chunks and nuts; stir until well combined.
